Section 18 · Operation and Maintenance Expenses

(1)

'Operation and Maintenance or O and M expenses' shall comprise repair and maintenance (R and M), establishment including employee expenses, and administrative and general expenses, like insurance and overhead, spares consumable, etc.

(2)

Operation and maintenance expenses shall be determined for the Tariff Period based on normative O and M expenses specified by the Commission subsequently in these Regulations for the first year of Control Period.

(3)

Normative O and M expenses allowed during first year of the Control Period (i.e. FY 2010-11) under these Regulations shall be escalated at the rate of 5.72 Percent per annum over the Tariff Period.
