Section 8 · Surrender of certificate of appointment

- On a Home Guard ceasing to be a member of the Force, certificate of appointment shall be surrendered under sub-section (3) of Section 8 of the Act to the authorities specified below against each class of officers and men of the Home Guards Force:-

(i)

Commandant, Officer Commanding Central Training Camp, and Battalion Commander-A Secretary or Additional Secretary or Joint Secretary to the State Government.

(ii)

All Subedars and Jamadars including District Company Commanders-Inspector-General.

(iii)

Platoon Commanders and Section Leaders-Battalion Commanders.

(iv)

Other ranks-District Magistrate.
