धारा 23 · Panchayat Returning Officer

(1)

There shall be a Panchayat Returning Officer, appointed in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal State Election Commission Act, 1994 for every constituency to fill up a seat or seats in the Panchayats.

(2)

The Panchayat Returning Officer, subject to the direction and control of the Commission, shall do all such acts and things as may be necessary for effectually conducting the election in the manner provided under this Act.
