Section 1 · Short title, extent and commencement

(1)

This Act may be called the Pondicherry Court-fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1972.

(2)

It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Pondicherry.

(3)

It shall come into force on such [date] [The Act came into force on the 1st day of September 1974, vide Notification No. 7682/69/C dated 22nd August, 1974.] as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
